Scope’s commitment to website accessibility 

We are committed to making the Scope Research Panel portal as accessible as possible, as part of Scope's Everyday Equality strategy. 

We have created the portal taking best practice web accessibility guidelines into account, including WCAG 2.1 and  BS 8878. The portal is tested for accessibility every 12 months. 

This accessibility statement was last updated in January 2021 and follows the advice on accessibility statements in  British Standard BS 8878.

We have made the site as usable as we can, but you might have a better experience if you change the settings on your computer to suit your individual needs. 

For example, you might change the portal's colours, or increase the text size, or have the portal spoken aloud.

Known problems with this website’s accessibility 

We know that there are some accessibility problems with the portal, and we are going to fix them as soon as we can. 

We are currently working to fix:

  • The “Accept and Close” button on the cookie banner is not accessible with keyboard controls. 
  • Some of the error messages in the registration survey do not meet the required colour contrast requirements (there is red text on a red background, and red text on a red button).

Latest Updates 

May 2020 testing included 18 pages, with tests carried out on mobile devices (Android and iOS), PCs with Chrome 79, Firefox and Internet Explorer 11 and Non Visual Desktop Access (NVDA).
